Bridges of hope
ACCOMPANIMENT
Learning to Heal
One of the most impactful and supportive programs for parents is “Bridges of Hope,” which is dedicated to those who have experienced the loss of a child under any circumstance and at any stage of their lives. The loss of a child represents a profound existential crisis, perceived as contrary to the natural order of life, where children are expected to outlive their parents. This sudden disruption of life’s expected trajectory poses a threat to one’s very existence and deeply affects the individual as a whole. Consequently, there is a recognized need to provide these parents with support, relevant information, and emotional solace within a therapeutic group setting.
The program aims to:
- Create a nurturing environment where parents can come to terms with the nature of their grief.
- Guide parents towards a process of healthy introspection and eventual acceptance of their circumstances.
- Emphasize the importance of the family unit as a source of comfort and support.
- Provide practical tools to help parents navigate their grief in a constructive manner.
- Encourage these parents to pursue personal endeavors and projects
- Inspire parents who have completed the group sessions to engage in initiatives aimed at supporting others facing similar circumstances or other forms of hardship.
