THE SAN LUIS MARTIN MENTAL HEALTH REHABILITATION CENTER

Specific Attention

Opened in mid-2019, this project addresses the need of the southern Mendoza community for a institution that provides secondary and tertiary mental health care services. The establishment of this rehabilitation center is of utmost importance for the mental health of the community, as it offers specific care to a previously neglected population. In doing so, it not only addresses the patients but also their families, who often grapple with uncertainty, lack of knowledge, and the strain caused by such conditions.

Specifically, the center caters to conditions such as depressive disorders, personality disorders, compensated psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, and also provides care for patients who have been discharged from psychiatric hospitalization.

PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION

We understand that the community has diverse needs. The most radical or relevant needs to consider are, first, the attention and treatment of the patient, aiming to stabilize the psychopathological situation.

It is scientifically proven that psychosocial rehabilitation models are the most effective for the reintegration and recovery of psychiatric patients, as they can lead to symptom remission or achieve an excellent quality of life. Furthermore, this treatment provides them with the necessary tools to live and interact within the community, with the aim of promoting their integration into their social and family environments.

Foster family bonds through an outpatient service aimed at keeping the patient within their intimate environment
